The chairperson, Mr. Yonezawa Takehiro, is a visionary leader who recognized the growing need for skilled professionals in Japan—both within his own company and across the country. Understanding the dedication, strong work ethic, and diverse talents of Indian professionals, he identified India as a key source of capable and motivated individuals.

He also realized that for anyone to work in Japan and integrate comfortably into its culture, a basic understanding of the Japanese language is essential. With this insight, he planned to establish a language training institute in India. Kerala was chosen as the starting point for this initiative, marking the beginning of a promising journey.

Okayama Mirai envisions expanding its services to major cities across India in the near future, helping more learners build strong foundations in the Japanese language and culture.

CAREGIVER – CRITERIA

1. Basic Requirements

To apply for SSW Caregiver (Kaigo) from India:

✔ Required Exams

1. JLPT N4 or JFT Basic A2
2. Caregiver Skill Test (Kaigo Skills Evaluation Test)
3. Nursing Care Japanese Language Test (Kaigo Nihongo Test)

👉 You must pass all three.

2. Job Nature

You will work in:

Elderly care homes
Nursing homes
Hospitals (care assistant duties)

Duties include:

Bathing assistance
Feeding assistance
Mobility support
Room cleaning
Basic health monitoring

Written Test (Computer Test)

Done on a computer
45–60 minutes
Multiple-choice questions
No practical exam in India (only theory)

✔ Includes:

Bathing procedures
Feeding assistance
Mobility & wheelchair
Communication with elderly
Safety precautions
Emergency response
Basic health knowledge (fever, dehydration etc.)

⭐ Example Questions:

When helping the elderly walk, which side should you support from?
What temperature should bath water be?
What should you do if the patient says "it hurts"?

2️⃣ Video-based Situational Questions

You will watch short videos and answer questions such as:

How to help patient walk safely
How to change diapers
How to assist in bathing
How to use wheelchair correctly

Very easy and simple.
